<procdesc>This polygon shapefile was hand digitized using Pierce County's Tax Parcel and Roads shapefiles as references. Where the boundary encompass parcels on both sides of a road, the line was snapped to the outside parcel boundary. Where the boundary did not encompass the whole road and parcels on the opposite side, the boundary was snapped to the street centerline.

The boundary was then adjusted to its current configuration after Clark Rowland, Parametrix Inc., and Jennifer Recco were able to review Assessor-Treasurer maps during the legal description writing process. Any changes made during this process were minor and did not add nor remove features effecting the boundary.

Boundaries were reviewed December 2011 and erratic lines were snapped to parcel boundaries or street centerlines, whatever the case was. </procdesc>

<stepDesc>This polygon shapefile was hand digitized using Pierce County's Tax Parcel and Roads shapefiles as references. Boundaries were reviewed December 2011 and erratic lines were snapped to parcel boundaries or street centerlines, whatever the case was.</stepDesc>
