Service Description: The layer was developed to spatially display geographic areas that are designated as "Air Quality Maintenance Areas" based on OAR 340-240-0010, which is any area that was formerly nonattainment for a criteria pollutant but has since met EPA promulgated standards and has had a maintenance plan to stay within the standards approved by the EPA pursuant to 40 CFR 51.110 (July, 1993). It also represents "Nonattainment Areas" which is any area that has been designated as not meeting the standards established by the U.S Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) pursuant to 40 CFR 51.52 (July, 1993) for any criteria pollutant.
