Roads centerlines were digitized to match 2011 aerial photography in and around the core haines townsite. Centerlines were broken at block divising and address ranges were added to match existing conditions as of 2014. For rural areas centerlines were converted from GPS data for state roads and generated using DigitalGlobe (Vivid - Alaska) imagery taken in 2014 (Resolution: Ground resolution of the source data is 0.5 meters. Accuracy: Objects in map are within 10.2 meters of true location) for nonstate roads. Road names and legal easements and right-of-ways were taken from recorded plats where availible. Where unnamed easements and right of ways were found, a name was assigned based on the subdivision name. The block numbering for the majority of the borough is based on an address every 10' or 2 addresses every 20' (even and odd side) with a stated maximum block length of 1000' to make 100 addresses. Block numbering for Ease/West roads beyond milepost 4 on the Haines Highway are broken at milepost locations and contain 1000 addresses per mile, 500 on each side of the road. Spacing between addresses is 5.28' and the first two digits of the address corrisponds to the Haines Highway milepost.
