Description: <div style="text-align:Left;"><p style="margin:0 0 7 0;"><span style="color:rgb(51, 51, 51); font-family:Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size:13.3333px;">The Watersheds Hydrologic Unit 12 (HUC12) dataset used in the CA Nature Biodiversity Explorer was taken from the National Watershed Boundary (WBD) Dataset published as part of the National Hydrography Dataset (NHD), developed and maintained by the US Geological Survey. The watersheds are clipped to the California boundary.This version of the WBD for California was downloaded from the NHD prior to 2018 by the California Department of Fish and Wildlife for use in the </span><a href="https://wildlife.ca.gov/Data/Analysis/Ace" target="_blank">Areas of Conservation Emphasis (ACE)</a><span style="color:rgb(51, 51, 51); font-family:Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size:13.3333px;"> project, which is a basis of much of the data in the Biodiversity Explorer. Copyright Text: Funding for the Watershed Boundary Dataset (WBD) was provided by the USDA-NRCS, USGS and EPA along with other federal, state and local agenciesies.
