A dataset depicting the different zones within the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park (GBRMP), located off the coast of Queensland, Australia. The zones contained within the dataset include: General Use; Habitat Protection; Conservation Park; Buffer; Scientific Research; Marine National Park; Preservation; and Commonwealth Islands. The dataset was created by the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park (GBRMPA) in 2004 based on descriptions in the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Zoning Plan 2003. The dataset is intended to act as a tool to indicate the locations, spatial extents and type of Zones located in the GBRMP.
