Service Description: This data layer contains Portland's URM Buildings as of 2018. URM stands for unreinforced masonry. Built generally in the late 1800’s until about the 1960’s URM buildings are constructed of walls (typically on the exterior) often made of brick, hollow concrete block, hollow clay tile or stone. Because of it’s durability, fire resistance and architectural character unreinforced masonry had often been a the construction material of choice.
